Hard to believe the pups are three weeks old now. They are so much more active than they were last week.

We moved them out to the living room, and enlarged their pen, so that they'd have more space to explore and play.

Plus, it gives us more space to sit in there and play with them.

Especially since they can see now, the pups are quite adamant that we shouldn't leave them alone, and that all our time should be spent with them. Any time I leave the room, or even walk through, while they are awake, causes a chorus of little puppy calls. But when I sit down with them, they crawl right over for attention.

Some even decide I make a nice pillow to nap on.

(Though I don't think that looks comfortable!)

The puppies are learning and exploring their world. Of course, that means they can see and wrestle with their siblings more now. So I regularly get to laugh as they tumble around and try chewing on each other's faces. Of course, this also means that more and more of my photos are turning out blurry. So I'm trying to start recording more videos this year, which I'll be uploading to my youtube channel (here).

They are also starting to show a little interest in mama's food.

(yes, this pup is the same one that was sleeping with mama's food bowl in last week's post)

None are interested enough to try eating any of the softened mushy food I have set out for them to sample, but enough to lick at it and mama's bowl a bit, before trying to figure out how to nurse while mama is standing up eating her own meal. It won't be too much longer before they are ready to try eating their own food too though.

Of course, they do still spend a lot of time sleeping. Thankfully, I don't need to worry about waking them up by being too loud at this point, but by the end of this coming week, that won't be the case anymore.
